The trail is approximately 1.6 miles round trip and takes around 1-2 hours to complete. While the trail is relatively short, the 560 feet of elevation gain to reach the top is sure to leave you breathless. Be sure to bring along plenty of water for this unshaded trail.

Koko Head Crater Trail – The Koko Head Crater Trail is a challenging but rewarding 1.5-mile round trip hike, with over 1,000 steps to climb to reach the peak. The route was formerly a tramway created to haul supplies to the military bunkers at the top. Once you have reached the hard-earned summit, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the island and the Pacific Ocean.

Manoa Falls Trail – The Manoa Falls Trail is a scenic hike that takes visitors through a lush rainforest to a stunning 150-foot waterfall. The trail is approximately 1.6 miles long and takes around 1-2 hours to complete.

Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen when hiking on Oahu, as many routes are exposed to the elements. It’s also a good idea to leave the flip flops behind and wear sturdy shoes with good traction on Oahu’s rough, rocky trails.
